Delay
PT2399-based delay with tap tempo, LFO modulation, and infinite self-oscillation hold function.
Benson Amps was founded in 2012 by Chris Benson in Portland, Oregon, after his years as a repair tech at Verellen Amps and Old Town Music. Known for handwired, roadworthy amplifiers, Benson expanded into pedals that capture the same ethos: player-friendly designs built for working musicians.
The Benson Delay builds on the PT2399 chip's analog-voiced character while adding modern functionality. With delay times from 30ms to 1250ms, tap tempo with selectable subdivisions, and LFO modulation (sine, square, and random waveforms), it covers everything from slapback to ambient soundscapes.
The Hold function is a standout feature—holding the footswitch sends the delay into infinite self-oscillation, creating swelling feedback textures that can be manipulated in real-time. Release the switch and it gracefully returns to normal operation.
Designed with the same player-focused philosophy as Benson's amplifiers: deep functionality without menu-diving, built to survive the road.
