Loaf
Original medium-gain silicon fuzz with warm, bass-friendly character and darker timbre.
Big Ear Pedals was started by Grant Wilson, formerly of Brooklyn indie band The Click Clack Boom, and his partner Karen Schierhorn. Based in NYC, they design pedals with gnarly vintage character, minimalist graphics, and straightforward controls.
The Loaf is an original silicon fuzz design—not a Muff or Fuzz Face derivative. It delivers medium-gain fuzz with exceptional warmth, a bass-friendly response, and a darker timbre that sits well in a mix without harsh high-end.
Simple Fuzz, Volume, and Tone controls provide everything you need without overwhelming options. The name comes from the owners bunny—"bunnies do this thing called loafing where they tuck their feet under themselves and look like a little loaf of bread."
UK band Slaves guitarist Laurie Vincent uses the Loaf stacked with the Woodcutter on almost every song, forming the core of their aggressive sound.
