Shake
Pitch-shifting vibrato for wobbly, warped modulation effects.
Big Ear Pedals was started by Grant Wilson, formerly of Brooklyn indie band The Click Clack Boom, and his partner Karen Schierhorn. Based in NYC, they design pedals with gnarly vintage character, minimalist graphics, and straightforward controls.
The Shake delivers true pitch-shifting vibrato—the woozy, warped modulation that moves the actual pitch of your signal rather than just the volume. This creates a distinctly different character from tremolo: seasick wobble rather than pulsing volume.
From subtle pitch drift to dramatic warble, the Shake covers the range of vibrato effects. The analog circuit provides warm, organic modulation without digital stepping or artifacts.
Handmade tremolo from this Nashville boutique.
