The First Herald combines two independent circuits: a modernized fuzz with three clipping modes and a boost that can run independently. The signal chain order is switchable—fuzz into boost or boost into fuzz yields dramatically different results.

Slamming the fuzz into the boost is a favorite hidden setting. Despite high gain capability, the noise floor stays impressively low even at extreme settings. The V2 version refined both circuits.
