Black Ash

EarthQuaker Devices partnered with Endangered Audio Research for the Black Ash. It combines their germanium boost circuit with EQD's fuzz expertise.

Two sections work independently or together. The fuzz side delivers germanium warmth with adjustable gain and tone. The boost side adds up to 20dB of clean gain that can push the fuzz harder or run on its own.

Two footswitches control each section. Stack the boost into the fuzz for more saturation, or use either independently. Germanium transistors provide that vintage, slightly gated character.

Limited collaboration that brought two builders' strengths together in one enclosure.
