fAUX Tone Machine
Foxx Tone Machine clone with footswitchable octave and original 2N3565 transistors.
BLAMMO! Electronics is run by Dan Adamson, an IPC-certified builder in Portland, Oregon who previously worked in medical, aviation, and defense PCB assemblies.
The fAUX Tone Machine faithfully recreates the Foxx Tone Machine—widely considered among the best analog octave-up fuzzes money can buy. Its wooly fuzz character with upper octave emphasis made the original a legend.
Simple controls (Volume, Sustain, Tone) make finding your sound easy. The usual octave toggle switch has been replaced with a footswitch, allowing you to remove the octave from the circuit mid-song—perfect for switching between rhythm and lead parts. Uses original 2N3565 transistors, Panasonic film caps, Nichicon electrolytics, beefed up power filtering, and polarity protection.
True bypass, board-mounted Alpha pots with dust covers, and Teflon-coated handwiring in a compact pedalboard-friendly enclosure.
