BB-1X Bass Driver

The BB-1X is a bass-specific overdrive and preamp using Boss's MDP (Multi-Dimensional Processing) technology. Unlike guitar overdrives adapted for bass, the BB-1X is designed from the ground up to handle low-frequency content without losing definition or getting muddy.

MDP processing maintains note clarity in the bass register even at higher drive settings. Low B strings stay articulate instead of turning into indistinct rumble. The circuit also works as a standalone preamp for shaping bass tone going into a PA or recording interface.

Level, Low, High, Drive, and Blend controls. The Blend knob mixes the driven and clean signals in parallel, letting you add grit on top of a solid clean foundation. This parallel blend approach is essential for bass, where losing low-end definition is the primary concern.

At 54mA it draws modestly. The BB-1X addresses the specific needs of bass players who want drive without sacrificing the tight, defined low end that bass demands in a band mix.
