BC-1x Bass Compressor

The BC-1X applies Boss's MDP (Multi-Dimensional Processing) compression technology specifically to bass guitar, adapting its behavior in real time to handle the wide dynamic range and low-frequency content of bass.

The MDP engine adjusts compression parameters based on the input, handling slap technique differently from fingerstyle, and treating low B strings differently from higher register playing. The goal is transparent compression that controls dynamics without squashing the bass tone or introducing pumping artifacts.

Level, Attack, Ratio, and Comp controls. At 90mA it matches the CP-1X's power draw. No dedicated tone control; the BC-1X is designed to compress without adding its own coloring to the bass signal.
