PW-3 Wah Pedal

The PW-3 Wah Pedal combines an expression pedal with Boss's compact pedal circuitry, delivering a wah effect in an enclosure that's smaller than traditional wah pedals. Released in 2018, it uses the compact Boss enclosure with a rocker mechanism.

Two voicings: Vintage and Rich. Vintage mode captures the classic wah sweep. Rich mode adds a wider frequency range with more harmonic content. The compact form factor is the key selling point: the PW-3 takes up barely more pedalboard space than a standard Boss pedal.

Rocker pedal controls the wah sweep. A mode switch selects voicing. At 5mA it's extremely power-efficient. The compact size means the rocker travel is shorter than a full-size wah, which takes some adjustment for players used to standard wahs.

For players who want wah functionality without the footprint of a Cry Baby or Vox wah. The compact size is either a dealbreaker (less expressive range) or a selling point (fits on tight pedalboards).
