Alpha Gain

Caroline Guitar Company is a boutique builder based in Columbia, South Carolina, known for creative designs and playful names. The Alpha Gain is their take on a discrete transistor boost/preamp capable of everything from clean boost to rich overdrive.

With up to 40dB of gain available, the Alpha Gain can gently push an amp or drive it into saturation. The discrete transistor circuit provides harmonically rich clipping that responds dynamically to playing touch and guitar volume.

Simple two-knob operation (Gain and Level) makes dialing in tones straightforward. The Alpha Gain excels as an always-on preamp to add life to a rig, or as a boost for solos and amp pushing. Hand-built in small batches at their 'Distortery.'
