Many Worlds
Eight-stage analog phaser with 8 selectable modes—from subtle swirl to through-zero and vibrato.
The Catalinbread Many Worlds is an eight-stage analog phaser with an 8-position mode selector that fundamentally changes its behavior. Modes cover classic smooth phasing, through-zero flanging effects, vibrato, and experimental textures. Frequency sets the LFO speed, Depth controls intensity, Feedback adds resonance to the phase notches, and Mix blends wet and dry signals.
Running at 100mA on 9–18V DC, the circuit has enough headroom for the complex multi-stage processing. Higher voltage operation tightens the response and increases dynamic range. Each mode applies different combinations of phase stages, feedback routing, and LFO waveforms to the eight analog stages.
Named after the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics—appropriate for a pedal that exists in eight different sonic states simultaneously. Covers everything from vintage Phase 90-style sweep to sounds no other phaser can produce.
