Analog Chorus
BBD chorus using discontinued MN3007/MN3101 chips for authentic vintage tone.
CMAT Mods was founded by Chad Matthews and became a full-time enterprise when he began working with pedal builder Greg Blessing. Their designs focus on boutique tone using premium components and meticulous construction.
The Analog Chorus emulates vintage chorus pedals by implementing the same discontinued MN3007 and MN3101 BBD chips that gave classic units their lush, deep sound. This all-analog design avoids the digital artifacts that can make modern chorus pedals sound sterile.
Controls for Rate, Depth, and Blend provide comprehensive tonal shaping. The Rate control offers range from slow, subtle movement to fast, pronounced chorus. The deep, lush character works equally well for shimmering cleans or thickening drive tones.
Built with Alpha pots, 1% metal film resistors, high-quality caps, and Neutrik jacks, the Analog Chorus delivers true bypass switching. The same basic circuit as the larger Water Box in a more compact case.
