Deeelay
PT2399-based digital delay with darker repeats and up to 600ms delay time.
CMAT Mods was founded by Chad Matthews and became a full-time enterprise when he began working with pedal builder Greg Blessing. Their designs focus on boutique tone using premium components and meticulous construction.
The Deeelay is a clean, simple digital delay based on the PT2399 chip with a TL072 op-amp buffer/mixer, delivering up to 600 milliseconds of delay time. Unlike many digital delays that add highs to repeats, the Deeelay produces darker sounding echoes more reminiscent of analog units.
Three intuitive controls for Time, Repeats, and Mix provide straightforward operation. Subtle distortion appears at higher delay settings, adding character to the repeats. Dead quiet operation makes it suitable for any signal chain position.
Built with Davies knobs, Switchcraft jacks, Alpha pots, EH 3PDT true bypass switch, and military-grade wiring in a durable powder-coated enclosure. Works well with both guitar and bass. Runs on 9V battery or adapter.
