Tremolo
1970s British tremolo designed to emulate the warm pulse of a Vox AC30.
Colorsound, developed by brothers Larry and Joe Macari of Sola Sound, created the Tremolo in the 1970s with one goal: capture the warm, pulsing tremolo of a Vox AC30 amplifier in pedal form.
Using just four transistors, the circuit delivers that distinctive soft decay and organic pulse that made Vox amplifier tremolos legendary. The effect has a warm, rounded character quite different from the choppy tremolos of later designs.
Controls include Speed for rate adjustment, Depth for intensity, and Volume for output level. The pedal maintains the slightly quirky character of vintage British effects, delivering an authentic tube-amp tremolo experience that modern recreations strive to capture.
