Gravity Well
2024 EMMA Award winner—tremolo meets wavefolder with 8 LFO shapes and expression control.
Cosmodio Instruments' Gravity Well won the 2024 EMMA Award for Best Tremolo Pedal, cementing the Bedford, Massachusetts builder's reputation for innovative analog design. It's not just a tremolo—it's a dual-engine pedal that creates entirely new modulation territory when both sides interact.
One side delivers multi-waveform amplitude tremolo, the other provides wavefolding with three distinct voices. When both effects engage simultaneously, a third effect emerges: the refractor, a first-of-its-kind modulation that rhythmically warps and un-warps your signal in fluid, psychedelic ways. The FLOW switch determines signal order (tremolo into wavefolder or vice versa), dramatically changing the sonic result.
The five-knob control set includes wavefolder Volume and Gain, modulation Speed and Depth, and a Waveform selector offering 8 LFO shapes: saw, ramp, square, triangle, sine, asymmetric swoop, sample & hold, and random movement. The VOICE switch selects between full wavefolding, focused wavefolding, or a wavefolder/clean mix. The TONE switch adjusts output character (bright, dark, or balanced). An expression pedal/tap tempo input enables dynamic mid-performance control of LFO speed or depth. User-selectable true-bypass or buffered bypass modes adapt to your rig's needs.
