Pet Yeti
Cosmodio's debut—cascading gain stages with selectable clipping and analog bit crusher for any instrument.
The Pet Yeti marked Cosmodio Instruments' debut in 2024, introducing the Bedford, Massachusetts builder with a versatile distortion/fuzz that works brilliantly on guitar, bass, drum machines, and synthesizers. It earned immediate praise for its expansive gain range and multi-instrument flexibility.
The 100% analog circuit features cascading gain stages with selectable clipping configurations via the VOICE switch: op-amp, germanium, and silicon options with symmetric and asymmetric variations. The BITE switch activates an all-analog bit crusher that smashes your signal into square-wave hard clipping for glitchy textures. The STRENGTH switch adjusts headroom and intensity, while the SHAPE control tailors pre-distortion frequency response and the TONE knob sculpts post-distortion EQ.
A parallel clean path with dedicated CLEAN knob enables blending processed and unprocessed signals—critical for bass players and synth users who need to retain low-end punch. The pedal progresses from clean boost through crunch, overdrive, fuzz, and into full glitch territory. True bypass via relay-based switching. Available in two colorways featuring faceplate artwork by pop-artist GOLDSUIT: "Neon Nuclear Wasteland" and "Dark Doomy Deathscape."
