DSR-1 Spring King
Real spring reverb in a stomp box with kick pad for percussive spring crash.
Danelectro has been making affordable, quirky gear since 1947, known for their vintage-inspired designs and accessible pricing. The Spring King brought real spring reverb to the pedalboard format.
The DSR-1 Spring King packs a real working spring tank into a pedalboard-sized unit - a remarkable feat of engineering. It uses a small 3-spring Accutronics/Belton tank combined with digital circuitry to achieve the essential 'drip' sound for surf rock. The design isn't 100% analog but captures the character of spring reverb.
Three controls adjust Volume, Tone, and Decay. The signature feature is the Kick Pad - a rubber pad on top that, when kicked or stomped, shakes the spring tank for uncontrollable spring crash effects heard on classic surf records. Runs on 9V battery or 300mA max adapter. Note: battery life is short - external power recommended.
