DigiTech, founded in 1984 in Utah, pioneered digital effects processing and became synonymous with pitch-shifting through the Whammy series introduced in 1989.
The Whammy DT combines classic Whammy pitch-shifting with dedicated Drop Tune and Capo modes. In DSP bypass mode, drop tuning remains active even when the Whammy effect is off—perfect for maintaining alternate tunings between songs.
True bypass mode available for completely unprocessed signal. Expression pedal controls real-time pitch shifts while the rotary selector chooses intervals. MIDI input enables external preset control. 24-bit processing at 44.1kHz.
