Bifet Boost 410
BiFET-based clean boost with switchable buffer and up to 20dB of gain.
The DOD Bifet Boost 410 originally debuted in 1981 and was reissued in 2014 with modern updates. It uses BiFET (Bipolar Field-Effect Transistor) technology to deliver up to 20dB of clean boost while preserving your guitar's natural tone.
What sets the 410 apart is its switchable buffer. When the Buffer switch is engaged, it stays active even in bypass, making the pedal function as a line driver for long cable runs. With the buffer off, the pedal becomes true bypass for purists who want it completely out of the signal path when disengaged.
The Tone control provides subtle high-frequency shaping without dramatic coloration. Players use it as a solo boost, an always-on buffer, or to push a tube amp into natural breakup.
