Carcosa
Dual-voice analog fuzz with Hali and Demhe modes for classic to gated textures.
The DOD Carcosa is a modern analog fuzz that draws inspiration from classic circuits while offering its own distinctive character. Named after the fictional city from weird fiction, the Carcosa delivers everything from smooth vintage fuzz to sputtering, gated chaos.
The Before and After knobs control pre-gain and output respectively, while the meat of the tonal shaping comes from the Hali/Demhe toggle and continuously variable bias control. The Demhe voice provides thick, sustained fuzz tones, while Hali delivers more aggressive, gated textures.
The continuously variable bias control is where the Carcosa really shines—turn it down for dying-battery sag and velcro sputter, or crank it for full, saturated sustain. At 4mA current draw, it's also extremely power-efficient.
