Chthonic Fuzz

The DOD Chthonic Fuzz uses a pair of 2N2222 transistors in a classic configuration that responds beautifully to guitar volume knob manipulation. Like the best vintage fuzz circuits, it cleans up dynamically when you roll back your volume.

The three-knob layout is deceptively simple: Fuzz controls the amount of gain and saturation, Output sets the volume, and Lustre adjusts the brightness and harmonic content. The Lustre control is particularly musical, adding sparkle and cut without becoming harsh.

Built with DOD's standard rugged construction and true bypass switching, the Chthonic delivers rich harmonic fuzz tones that sit well in a band mix. Its transistor-based clipping gives it a more organic, amp-like feel compared to op-amp fuzz designs.
