Overdrive Preamp 250-X

The DOD Overdrive Preamp 250-X takes the classic 250 circuit and expands its capabilities with an added Tone control and extended gain range. While the original 250 is beloved for its simplicity, some players wanted more flexibility.

The 250-X retains the LM741 op-amp clipping topology that gives the original its distinctive character, but the added Tone knob allows you to dial in more or less high-frequency content. The expanded gain range reaches both lower (cleaner boost) and higher (more saturated) than the original.

This makes the 250-X more versatile It maintains true bypass and the standard DOD aluminum chassis, fitting seamlessly on any pedalboard.
