Fat Bat
Japanese RAT variants in one box: NE5534 and NOS 741 op-amps with 6 clipping modes.
Drunk Beaver is a Polish pedal company founded by Ukrainian builder Vitalii Bobrov, known for deep explorations of the RAT circuit family.
The Fat Bat rounds up Japanese RAT variants for expansive sonic exploration. Two op-amp options (NE5534 and NOS 741) pair with six clipping modes: red LEDs (Turbo RAT style), op-amp clipping (LA Metal style), NOS Soviet D9 germanium, 1N914 silicon (Fat Cat style), BAT85 silicon, and BS170 MOSFETs (Fat Rat style). A 3-way Fat switch selects between LA, FC, and RF bass voicings.
Distortion, Tone, and Volume controls keep the front panel simple while the switches underneath unlock a huge range of Japanese-flavored RAT tones. Draws just 7mA from 9V DC center-negative power.
