Crimson Drive

EarthQuaker Devices built the Crimson Drive around germanium transistors for warm, dynamic overdrive. It cleans up with guitar volume and responds to pick attack. Three controls: Volume, Drive, and Tone. The germanium circuit provides natural soft clipping that feels like a tube amp on the edge of breakup. Not a high-gain pedal. Best for blues, classic rock, and anything requiring dynamic response. True bypass via relay switching. Temperature-stable germanium selection. Standard 9V power.
