Vacuum tube fuzz with NOS Philips tube and germanium diodes, Heat switch for transistor-like bite.

The Mercury is a refined version of the discontinued Helios, built around a NOS Philips subminiature tube and vintage point-contact germanium diodes.

The circuit combines a hot-biased Bassman-style input stage with cold-biased second stage and germanium clipping. An internal Bright trimpot shapes top end, while the rear Heat switch engages plate-starving for harder, more transistor-like textures.

Every component is premium: custom Dakaware knobs from 1940s molds, British Omeg pots, Carling footswitch, Neutrik jacks. Limited by NOS tube availability.
