Electro-Harmonix built the S9 to transform guitar into vintage string synthesizer sounds. Solina String Ensemble, Mellotron strings, and other classic textures.

Nine preset voices cover orchestral strings, synth strings, and mixed ensembles. The algorithm reshapes your guitar signal through filtering, envelope processing, and chorus effects.

Mix blends strings with dry guitar. Ctrl adjusts parameters per preset. Polyphonic tracking handles chords for full ensemble sound.

Orchestral pads without the Mellotron tapes or Solina servicing.
