1966 Series Fuzz
Handwired Arbiter Fuzz Face replica. Matched germanium pair. Limited twenty-unit run.
JHS honored the iconic two-transistor Fuzz Face circuit with meticulous attention to vintage accuracy. Josh Scott handwired all twenty units himself, hand-matching pairs of germanium transistors to recreate the wooly, dynamic character that defined Hendrix tones. The circuit uses just two transistors, three capacitors, and a handful of resistors—elegant simplicity.
Scott improved on the original with adjusted pot tapers for more intuitive control, a single power supply filter capacitor to reduce noise, one tweaked resistor value for extra volume, and true bypass switching. High-grade carbon composition resistors and oversized capacitors complete the vintage-accurate build.
The Fuzz Face cleans up beautifully with your guitar volume knob, responding like the best vintage examples. Positive ground voltage requires isolated power, and the pedal must be first in your signal chain. Part of the exclusive $399 1966 collection, twenty units total.
