JHS built the All American around their RAT modification circuit—the same tweaks they performed on vintage Small Box RATs from 2008 through 2018 before consolidating the design into the PackRat's JHS Mode. The circuit delivers ProCo RAT topology with Fender-inspired voicing, bridging distortion and overdrive territories.

The three-way clipping switch transforms the character completely. LED mode opens up the saturation for brighter, more dynamic response. Silicon delivers classic RAT crunch with compressed sustain. Open removes the clipping diodes entirely, functioning as a transparent boost that hits your amp with massive headroom.

Volume, Drive, and Tone provide familiar RAT-style control. The sweep knob gives instant adjustment to gain structure feel. At 20mA draw, efficient enough for crowded pedalboards. The circuit now lives in the PackRat, making original units increasingly rare.
