Space Commander

JHS designed the Space Commander to deliver classic eighties rack effects in compact pedal form. The circuit combines hall reverb, vintage chorus, and powerful clean boost—three effects that defined the decade's shimmering guitar tones. Each effect runs independently with dedicated toggle switches.

The chorus delivers swirling eighties character where increasing the knob speeds up modulation while decreasing depth, and vice versa—creating dynamic movement across the control range. Hall reverb adds period-correct decay from subtle wash to fully wet ambient. The transistor boost provides up to 20dB of clean volume or pushes your amp into natural breakup.

Three knobs control Boost, Chorus, and Reverb levels. Three mini toggles engage each effect independently. A single true-bypass footswitch activates the entire pedal. Simple one-knob-per-effect operation makes it immediately playable. Vintage rack tones without the rack.
