Pipergate

The Pipergate is an homage to the guitar tone of psychedelic rock pioneer Syd Barrett, cloning the Selmer Buzz Tone booster/fuzz. The circuit is faithful to the original three rare germanium transistor topology, modernized for contemporary use in a smaller enclosure running at 9V instead of 3V.

The Buzz control adjusts the bass gain range, with fine-tuning allowing a broader tonal palette than the original. Built around three extremely rare, matched germanium transistors selected for optimal biasing.

Not a noise gate despite its name. A germanium booster/fuzz built in Hungary with premium components.
