The Custard Factory is a studio-quality bass compressor from Laney's Black Country Customs line. The 3-position Mode switch selects attack speed: Fast for quick runs and percussive playing, Medium for general use, and Slow for long sustained notes. The Wet-Mix-Dry control enables parallel compression, blending compressed and dry signals for natural dynamics.
Comp sets the compression amount, Presence adds treble presence, and Volume controls the output level. Transparent buffered bypass preserves tone when disengaged. 1M input impedance, 100K output impedance. 9V DC or 9V battery, 10mA draw.
