The Difference Engine is an advanced tri-mode stereo delay from Laney's Black Country Customs series. Analogue mode emulates tape echo with wow and flutter up to 1250ms. Digital mode provides crisp 1980s-style delay with tap tempo, freeze, and multi-tap up to 2500ms. Dynamic mode offers ducking delay with modulation.

100 preset slots with 50 pre-loaded artist patches from Tony Iommi, Lari Basilio, Tom Quayle, Martin Miller, and Billy Duffy. Full MIDI in/out, expression pedal input, stereo I/O, and a 2.43-inch OLED display for visual feedback. Buffered bypass. 9V DC only, 90mA draw (150mA PSU recommended).
