Speakeasy

The Speakeasy is based on the revered EP-3 circuit and one-ups the competition by giving you more shaping ability and tonal range. Separate Gain and Volume controls essentially double the preamp's usability compared to simpler designs, while the full-range Tone knob and 3-way thickness toggle let you tailor the Speakeasy to your needs.

The 3-way thickness toggle tailors tone at higher gain settings: up position adds more punch, center provides neutral response, down enhances low-end. Gain adjusts input level, Tone shapes frequency response, and Volume controls output. This gives you proper preamp flexibility rather than the limited control of vintage units.

Running on just ~3mA from 9V center-negative power or 9V battery, the Speakeasy is incredibly current-efficient. 4.8" × 2.62" × 1.55" enclosure. True bypass switching. EP-3 character with modern control versatility.
