Two Micro Amp circuits in one box—split your signal to two amps with +26dB of boost per channel.
MXR partnered with Jack White's Third Man Hardware to build a pedal for dual-amp rigs. The Double Down puts two independent Micro Amp boost circuits behind a single input, splitting your signal to two outputs with separate Gain controls.
Each channel delivers up to +26dB of clean boost. A Phase switch inverts the second output for a wide stereo image, and a Buffer switch lets you choose between true bypass and buffered bypass for driving long cable runs. Input impedance shifts from 450kΩ in true bypass to 700kΩ with the buffer engaged.
Controls are simple: Gain 1, Gain 2, Phase toggle, Buffer toggle, and a single footswitch. Built for players running stereo rigs or switching between two amps.
