Mntns
OTA-based analog phaser with vibrato and gain modes. Variable 2/4-stage sweep inspired by 70s classics.
The MNTNS ("mountains") is a variable-stage analog phaser built around OTA (operational transconductance amplifier) topology, inspired by the classic phase effects heard on 70s records. Three toggle switches expand it well beyond a standard phaser.
The G/P/V mode toggle selects between Gain only (bypasses the phase circuit for a clean JFET op-amp boost), Phaser, and Vibrato. The 2/4 toggle selects all-pass filter stages for subtle shimmer (2-stage) or deep, swooping pitch bending (4-stage). The FB toggle feeds output back to input for more intense, resonant sweep. Rate and Gain knobs control LFO speed and output level.
Measures 5.0 x 3.0 inches at 377g with Neutrik/Lumberg jacks. Runs on 9V center-negative at 7mA, no battery option.
