Nvmbr Fuzz
Ripping octave-up fuzz that cleans up to a ring mod shimmer. One knob, two modes via toggle.
The NVMBR Fuzz is a one-knob octave fuzz with a pronounced upper octave, reworked from classic late-60s octave-up circuits with modern transistor compatibility. The single knob controls output volume while your guitar volume knob controls fuzz intensity and cleanup.
A toggle switch selects between Bolt mode (midrange-heavy upper octave fuzz) and Wave mode (no octave, punk-style distortion like a cranked transistor amp). Rolling back guitar volume produces overdriven and ring-modulation-like textures on chords. Silicon diodes in the clipping section provide ample output. Each unit is individually tuned by ear for maximum upper octave response.
Strategically-placed filters eliminate radio interference and reduce clipping artifacts. Same mini enclosure as the Heavy Peaches at 3.63 x 1.50 inches, 255g. Runs on 9V center-negative at 4mA, no battery.
