The PastFX Elastic Mattress is a recreation of the classic 1970s 18-volt "V2" EHX Electric Mistress flanger, using a NOS Matsushita/Panasonic MN3007 bucket-brigade device for the authentic liquidy, gracefully modulated tones of the original.
External controls include Rate, Range, Color (feedback/intensity), and Blend/Mix (wet/dry ratio). A Brightness control (now external, stock = counter-clockwise) adjusts high-frequency content. A Filter Matrix toggle switch (blue LED) freezes the LFO for static chime-like textures, while Normal mode (green LED) provides standard swept flanging. Internal controls include a Level trimpot and a Bass Cut trimpot (fully clockwise = stock).
Stereo outputs allow stereo or mono operation. The circuit runs at genuine 18V for the same voltage headroom as the original. True bypass, 112 x 60 x 31mm enclosure drawing 25mA at 18VDC center-negative. No battery option. Audiophile-grade components from MMK, Wima, Epcos, Vishay, Panasonic, and Nichicon.
