Foot Phaser Deluxe

The PastFX Foot Phaser Deluxe is an enhanced version of the Nick James Foot Phaser, itself based on the 1970s Foxx Foot Phaser V1 famously used by Brian May. It uses 10 hand-matched JFET transistors selected from thousands tested by hand.

Four external controls and multiple switches provide deep adjustment: Speed sets the LFO rate (with manual/auto mode functionality), Depth controls modulation intensity, and Feedback adds resonance. A 3-position speed range rotary switch sets the LFO range, while a 6/10 phase stage selector switch toggles between subtler 6-stage and richly textured 10-stage operation. A Manual switch parks the LFO, allowing the Speed knob to manually sweep through the phase or an expression pedal to control sweep via foot.

Red LED indicates phase rate, blue LED shows effect activation. Expression pedal jack for treadle control. Housed in a compact 1590BB-style enclosure at 9VDC. Neutrik jacks and Lumberg DC sockets. Handmade in Brisbane, Australia.
