Stereo Chorus PX65
DOD FX65 Stereo Chorus recreation with NOS MN3007 BBD, regen feedback, and Dave/Andy mode switching.
The PastFX Stereo Chorus PX65 is a faithful recreation and expansion of the beloved DOD FX65 Stereo Chorus, rumored to have been used by John Frusciante during the Blood Sugar Sex Magik era. It uses a Panasonic/Matsushita MN3101 clock and MN3007 BBD chipset.
The original three knobs are retained with expanded ranges: Speed (slower modulation possible), Delay Time (extended range beyond the FX65/FX62), and Depth (more extreme intensities). Two new knobs address common complaints: Level recovers signal lost through the effect, and Blend adjusts the wet/dry balance. A Vibrato pushbutton activates vibrato mode. The Dave/Andy mode switch selects between stock FX65 operation (Dave, default) and an out-of-phase stereo mode (Andy) without swapping cables. A Regen pushbutton adds feedback (only in Andy mode) for more intense "faux through-zero flanging" effects, adjustable via internal trimpot. Internal micro switches select between FX65 and FX62 (Bass) circuits.
True bypass with stereo outputs, red LFO LED indicator. Draws approximately 10mA at 9VDC (max 12VDC). Handmade in Brisbane, Australia.
