The Selah Effects Quartz Timer V3 represents pinnacle of Selah's vision for pedalboard control, building upon V2's foundation while adding performance-focused features that make it ideal for gigging musicians who need reliable, intuitive control over complex rigs. V3 maintains core dimensions and MIDI/tap tempo capabilities of V2 while introducing setlist management, enhanced preset organization, and refinements to user interface that streamline operation in live performance environments. One of V3's most significant additions is its comprehensive setlist management system. Users can name each song with up to 30 characters and arrange them in custom setlist order, eliminating need to scroll through unrelated presets during performance. Each preset can be assigned different color on pedal's display, providing instant visual feedback about which song or configuration is currently active. This organizational approach mirrors how musicians actually think about their shows—by song name and setlist order rather than arbitrary preset numbers—making V3 far more intuitive for real-world use. V3 retains four TRS jack outputs that can function as tap tempo outputs or be configured for other purposes. Jacks 2 and 4 can serve as MIDI outputs to control pedals from manufacturers like Empress Effects, Chase Bliss Audio, and Meris using their proprietary TRS-to-MIDI protocols. Each preset can send up to 11 custom MIDI messages, providing enough control to manage complex multi-pedal changes. Expression pedal input on Jack 1 can be configured to send lists of MIDI messages with settable range and inversion, enabling dynamic real-time control over any MIDI-controllable parameter across your entire rig. V3 draws 180mA from standard 9V DC power supply and can sync virtually any time-based effect using Normally Open, Normally Closed, or TRS tap configurations, MIDI Clock, or custom MIDI messages. BPM-to-CV output on Jack 3 provides 0-3V with user-settable range, enabling integration with modular synthesizers and eurorack systems. Like V2, V3 can accept up to six external footswitches via Q:Expander units, with most settings assignable per preset for complete customization. V3 is also backward compatible with V2 computer applications and firmware except for V3-specific features, ensuring long-term software support.
