The Juneau is Siren Pedals' interpretation of acclaimed Marshall Bluesbreaker circuit from early 1990s, reimagining this classic overdrive with modern components and thoughtful enhancements. Bluesbreaker circuit is beloved for its amp-like response, natural breakup characteristics, and ability to push tube amplifiers into sweet, singing overdrive. Juneau captures all sonic goodness of original while addressing its limitations with contemporary features.
Control layout includes four knobs: Volume for output level, Gain for drive intensity, Tone for frequency balance, and key addition of Presence control. This Presence knob is main circuit modification that sets Juneau apart from standard Bluesbreaker clones, providing additional control over high-frequency response and helping to reduce harshness while adding clarity and definition. Presence control makes pedal more versatile than original three-knob Bluesbreaker design, allowing it to work with wider variety of amplifiers and guitar pickups.
