Buzzz
Highly modified superfuzz circuit with extended gain range, voltage starve, octave switching, and tone-blast for sounds from overdrive to blistering octavia.
The Buzzz is smallsound/bigsound's extensively customized take on the classic superfuzz circuit, retaining the archetypal scrambled and clangy fuzz with pronounced upper octaving while dramatically expanding its versatility. Features four knobs, four switches, and two footswitches creating exceptionally wide palette of fuzz tones.
Highly interactive controls include wider gain range than traditional superfuzz circuits, voltage starve function, gain modifier toggle (Lo Gain/Hi Gain), passive low-pass filter, octave on/off switch, and tone-blast toggle. Silicon/germanium clipping diode switch provides tonal variation between more compressed and open fuzz characteristics. Left footswitch can toggle between either tone-blast (heavy midrange scoop/boost) or octave functions, configured via oct/tone toggle switch.
The Buzzz v2 excels at everything from subtle dirty boost and drive tones to gated sputter, buzzsaw fuzz, and full-on blistering octavia sounds. Voltage starve control allows for low-wattage, dying battery tones, while passive LPF helps tame harsh frequencies. Running on standard 9V DC (center-negative, ~18mA draw).
