Octave Theory

Octave modulator and synthesizer with a resonant filter inspired by the Korg MS-20. Features the world's first octave modulator with seamless crossfading between octaves and first Shepard tone guitar synthesizer creating the auditory illusion of endlessly rising or falling pitch.

Filter Freq, Amp Decay/Filter Depth, Filter Res (pushes into oscillation like the MS-20), Volume, and Oct Mod (function changes per mode: LFO speed, envelope depth, or manual octave shift). Modes include LFO control, envelope modulation, Shepard tone, and manual.

Crossfading between octaves rather than hard-switching creates smooth, musical transitions. The MS-20-inspired filter adds aggressive resonant character. Creates 8-bit chiptune, classic guitar synth, super sub bass, and Shepard tone illusions.
