Spring Theory
Spring reverb emulation with drip, splash, and crash controls. Dial in everything from surf tank to drippy ambient.
DSP-based spring reverb emulation designed specifically for guitar—Subdecay's first foray into DSP processing. Developed after studying actual reverb tank mechanics to capture the specific drip and character of tube-driven amplifier reverb.
Reverb (effect level) and Depth (reverb length) controls with Spring/Room mode selection. Spring mode targets the specific character of Fender blackface amp reverb. Room mode simulates spaces from small rooms to massive caverns.
Accepts 9V to 18V DC for variable headroom—higher voltage provides more headroom and dynamic range. Discontinued, replaced by the Super Spring Theory which added separate dry/wet controls, wide-range tone knob, and JFET send/recovery. No battery option.
