Tallon Electric collaborated with Johnny Franck of Bilmuri to create The Hog, a signature pedal capturing his band's versatile tone palette. The circuit blends overdrive and distortion characteristics for what Tallon calls "THICC and CRYSTAL CLEAR" tones, handling everything from crushing metalcore riffs to twangy country slides across any guitar and tuning.
The Beef switch adds a heavy-load boost capability, pushing the circuit into higher saturation for maximum chunk. The blended topology maintains clarity even under high gain, preventing the muddy low-end common in high-gain pedals. Controls allow dialing in Bilmuri's signature tones or exploring new territory from vintage crunch to modern aggression.
Soft-click true bypass switching keeps your signal path clean when disengaged. The pedal draws just 19mA from standard 9V DC center-negative power, making it pedalboard-friendly. Measuring 4.7" × 3.75" × 1.75", The Hog fits easily on crowded boards while producing the aggressive yet articulate tones that define Bilmuri's sound.
