A collaboration between TAMPCO and Belgian tube amp brand AMS, the Singer Overdrive pursues touch-responsive, precise overdrive with extensive EQ control. Two gain stages provide smooth breakup, while the active 3-band EQ offers ±15dB boost/cut per frequency band—far more range than typical passive tone stacks.
The transparent design preserves guitar and amp character while adding controllable grit. The active EQ can boost mids and cut lows for cutting through dense mixes, or scoop mids for modern high-gain textures. Designed as a stacking tool, the Singer sits well before or after other drives without masking their core character.
Relay bypass switching maintains signal integrity, 1MΩ input impedance presents minimal load to pickups, and 470Ω output impedance drives long cables without tone loss. 100mA current draw at 9V DC.
