The Reel Dealuxe combines the Revox reel-to-reel tape preamp circuit from the Reel Deal with the Model 33 Smooth vibrato in single enclosure, adding optical compression and expanded tonal shaping. Dual footswitches allow independent activation of preamp and vibrato sections, or internal switches link both for simultaneous on/off switching. This integration creates complex textures impossible with separate pedals: tape-saturated vibrato, compressed phaser tones, or clean vibrato without preamp coloration.
Gain and Level knobs control preamp saturation and output, Zenith and Offset knobs (side-mounted) shape vibrato waveform. Tape speed switch provides full frequency/mid-focused/treble boost voicing options. Limit switch introduces optical compression targeting higher frequencies for squashed, muffled tape compression character. Invert switch adds dry signal to vibrato for phasing effects. Overload light responds to signal level, brightening as distortion increases. Ultra-low impedance XLR output feeds recording interfaces and mixing consoles directly.
Internal switches add more fuzz saturation and link footswitches together. 9V center-negative power.
