Mini
Mono ducking/sidechain compressor with audio and CV triggers, optical compression.
The Pill Mini is a Swiss-made analog ducking pedal (also called sidechain compression) designed for live performance and studio use. Built into a compact Hammond 1590B enclosure (112.5 × 60.5 × 31mm), it provides the same optical compression circuit as the stereo version in a mono, pedalboard-friendly format. The pedal Berlin-designed and handmade in Switzerland with hand-selected, individually calibrated components.
The Mini features two controls: Release (ducking duration from short to long) and Depth (ducking volume level). A single trigger input accepts both audio triggers (via 1/4" jack) and CV/Gate triggers (selectable via internal switch), allowing triggering from kick drums, sequencers, or other sources. The passive optical signal ducking maintains flexibility across input levels from guitar/mic to studio line levels.
True bypass or buffered bypass modes are selectable via internal switch, both using a relay-operated silent footswitch. Running on 9-12V DC center-negative at 40mA, the Mini delivers the signature Pill ducking effect without the stereo routing complexity. Perfect for adding rhythmic pumping, creating space in mixes, or classic EDM-style sidechain compression in a compact mono format.
