Proprietary cascading dual-stage gain engine—a primary overdrive stage with a secondary stage that cascades into it, controlled by the Calibre knob. Burr-Brown op-amp with 1% metal film resistors, WIMA and Panasonic capacitors.

Gain (input drive level), Volume (output, unity around 11 o'clock), Tone (frequency shaping), and Calibre (secondary cascading overdrive stage level). The Calibre control blends characteristics spanning Bluesbreaker and Tube Screamer territory depending on its setting.

Designed to sound as close to an overdriven valve amp as possible. The cascading dual-stage architecture creates amp-like saturation that responds to picking dynamics. Range from subtle blues overdrive to hard rock. True bypass, 25mA draw, 65mm x 125mm x 53mm.
