Hot Sake

The TWA Hot Saké pays homage to the revered vintage Japanese drive circuits, particularly the Maxon SD-9, while adding contemporary features that expand its versatility far beyond the original.

The pedal functions as two effects in one: an elegantly transparent overdrive and a more aggressive distortion, switchable via footswitch. Four dedicated EQ controls—Tone, Mids, plus a Low Boost toggle and internal frequency selector—provide exceptional tone-shaping power rarely found in drive pedals.

The Hot Saké's Low Boost function can be set to either 60Hz or 100Hz via an internal slider, allowing players to tailor the bass response to their specific amp and playing style. The result is a remarkably flexible drive pedal that works equally well for blues, rock, and heavier styles.
